Ghana Announces Final Women’s Squad for CAVB Zone III African Nations Cup Qualifiers

The Ghana Volleyball Federation has unveiled the final 14-player squad for the 2026 CAVB Zone III Women’s African Nations Cup Qualifiers, scheduled to take place in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, from 13–17 July 2026.

The Zone III championship brings together the best women’s national teams from Benin, Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, Liberia, Niger, Nigeria, and Togo, all competing for qualification to the 2026 African Nations Cup.

The Black Spikers of Volleyball will be led by Head Coach Abdul-Rahman Danladi, with Assistant Coach Christopher, as they seek to secure one of the available qualification spots with supervision from the technical director Mr Alfred Akufo (aka Yellow).

The final squad features a balanced blend of experienced internationals and promising young talent.

Outside Hitters: Ajara Abubakar, Grace Dagadu, Huzeifa Moro, Bedawu Sidik.

Setters: Elizabeth Boakyewaa, Rahinatu Awudu.

Middle Blockers: Stephanie Addae Binney, Sandra Ayepoa, Ubeida Wahidu, Kipo Grace.

Opposites: Benedicta Akorli, Francisca Chumo.

Liberos: Juliana Aryeee and Joana Mensah.

Following weeks of intensive preparations, Team Ghana has safely arrived in Abidjan and is fully focused on the task ahead. The team enters the tournament determined to build on Ghana’s recent progress in volleyball and earn qualification for the continental championship.
